I am incredibly proud to say that I have completed a triathlon. I am still in shock! AND I met my personal goal of doing it in around 2 hours. The official results:
Overall Time: 1:58:58
Overall Place: 183 (out of 250)
Swim: 17:00
Transition 1: 3:39
Bike: 1:04:48
Transition 2: 2:36
Run: 30:57
The swim was the hardest part...by far! There were people everywhere! I swam on top of people, they swam on top of me, lifeguards had to jump in to save people....it was insane! I was totally not prepared for that chaos and it completely threw me for a loop. But I made it. It took me a third of the way through the ride to calm down from all of that chaos, but when I did I knew I would finish. A buddy of mine ran the last 1.5 miles of the race with me which was a huge bonus. I am the most pumped that I ran 10 minute miles after the swim and bike. I am still in shock that I actually DID a triathlon. Wow!
