We took our first family vacation in our camper. Wes has recently decided he had the right, and the ability, to drive Dave's truck. However; I am not that impressed with his choice of driving attire.
We stayed at Honey Creek Resort on Rathbun Lake in Iowa. It is a new resort that has a golf coures, RV campground, hotel, and indoor water park.
The water park was geared towards younger kids, Wes really had a great time!
My grandparent live about an hour away from where we camped and joined us for dinner out at the campground one night. I had gotten in a run earlier that morning that almost made me puke. I took a 4 mile off road course that just kicked my butt! It was hilly and not well maintained. When I got back to the camper I found 2 ticks crawling up my ankle. I changed my course for Sunday's morning run. It was still super hilly. Good workout!
My entire famiy came to my grandparents house for a surprise 60th wedding anniversary party at my grandparens house. It was the first time in 5 years that my whole (swanson side) family has been all together like that. My grandparents were super surprised.
This is a picture of my grandparent and all of thier grandkids. It was a great time and so great to see everyone.

Honey Creek resort in Rathbun Lake is the best summer experience. I;ve been there last month when I visited my hunting land in Iowa. I love hunting big bucks and whitetails in Iowa. There are lots of hunting lands for sale in Iowa.
